Deirdre Howard, APRN

Deirdre Howard is joining Richmond Family Medicine as a Family Nurse Practitioner after working at the practice as a Registered Nurse for over 6 years. She grew up in Saratoga Springs, NY, and found her way to Vermont for her undergraduate studies in Nursing at the University of Vermont. She joined the practice right after graduation and has loved providing care to patients and families in the community. While working as a nurse, she completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree remotely through the University of Massachusetts-Amherst and became a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She enjoys developing relationships with patients and families over time to learn their health-related values and beliefs in order to promote each individual’s health through preventative care. She also enjoys providing evidence based medical care for the wide variety of acute and chronic conditions faced by patients in family medicine.

Outside of her time spent in the clinic, Deirdre enjoys working on renovating her 1850s farmhouse in Milton with her husband, and spending time skiing, hiking, and biking.
